PACKING TIPS FOR TRAVELLERS 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi

1. Before leaving for any destination, check with weather.com and if the forecast calls for rain - throw in a travel-size umbrella or a lightweight raincoat. The kind that packs into its own pouch is best.

2. Make sure that every piece of clothing that goes into your carry-on does double duty meaning you can wear it more than once.

3. For major pieces (dress, pants, skirt) it's best to stick with solid colours and classic styles. You can break up the monotony with colourful scarves, accessories and tops.

4. Stick with two or three basic colours that easily mix and match.

5. Take one coat, cropped jacket or shawl that goes with everything from jeans to evening wear.

6. Don't t throw an evening bag into a carry-on empty. Use it to carry jewelry and a scarf and make sure it can double as a day-time clutch. (i.e. Avoid the gold and glitter look and go with patent).

Keep sharing and reading
thanks

Hi

Because they take up so much room shoes can be a problem. Don't take a brown outfit and a black outfit if it means you need to pack two pairs of shoes. Instead, go with a pair of two-tones or faux animal skin with shades of both colours. Alternatively, pack shoes in a colour that will go with everything – red or copper are good choices.

One or two fabulous belts can really punch up a monochromatic look. Make sure belts are lightweight (chunky metal can add pounds to your carry-on, and cause delays when going through airline security.) To pack, wrap belts around the inside of the carry on.

Don’t throw an evening bag into a carry-on empty. Use it to carry jewelry and a scarf and make sure it can double as a day-time clutch. (i.e. Avoid the gold and glitter look and go with patent).

Hi

1. Use carry-on baggage only. I never check a bag unless it’s one filled with souvenirs when I’m returning from my destination. Instead, I pack a 22″ bag (a convertible backpack/roll-aboard for more adventurous trips and a roll-aboard-only for domestic or business trips). This fits in the overhead bin and is light enough that I can easily lift it over my head to put it in that bin myself.

2. Pack light. When packing my clothes, I use a compression sack that squeezes the air out of the clothes to about 1/3 their size. Using only one of these ensures that I’m not packing too many clothes and leaves enough room for other items.

3. Packing cube. I use these handy little padded cubes for my power cords and electronics. They are the perfect size for an iPod, digital camera and USB cords.

thanks

Hi

Thanks for sharing these informative information

The bag has to be lightweight so you can carry it around. There are actually small-sized bags that have extra hidden space inside. You can stash some of your toiletries in there. A utility travel bag has compartments.
